Harihar lathe. Approximately 1050mm/42" between centres, 325mm/13" diameter swing over bed. The way I have taken the picture makes the it look less imposing than it is. Its the first Indian made piece of machinery I've ever seen and so far I'm quite impressed. I bought it at a farm clearance auction for what I think was a reasonable price, which happens to be less than the replacement cost of the two Pratt Burnerd chucks! Lathe features 3 phase motor with forward and reverse, gearbox, two directional power feed, coolant pump, MT3 tail stock, (short) MT5 head stock, 1.5" bore through the head stock, 4 speed flat belt drive. Pictured with 200mm/8" 3 jaw Pratt Burnerd chuck. Yep, I think it will do me nicely.
The lathe wasn't clearly lotted at the auction so I asked what was included. After some thought the vendor decided to sell everything together. I dragged home quite a bit of stuff. Left: 18" face plate, 8" face plate, 5" face plate, change gears, dogs, steadies, 250mm/10" Pratt Burnerd 4 jaw chuck, small right angle plate, miscellaneous small tools. Also some face plates and a home made tail stock that don't go with this lathe. Centre left: Flat belting, wide selection of welding rods, fluxes etc. Centre right: Quantity of turning stock: steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, aluminium, various plastics. Right: Miscellaneous other junk.
