T. Eilbeck & Son 30" band saw. Purchased through the local free classifieds. Larger pic here. She stands a bit over 7 1/2 feet high. Manufacturer unknown. Badges here and here. I'd been looking for a large bandsaw for resawing for some time. Early on I bid on some newer machines but lost out. Just recently I lost out on a nice old 26" machine with a 8" resaw height. Now 8 inches is nothing to be ashamed about but everyone knows size really is important. Nope, like any man I secretly wished I had 12 inches. Well now I've got John Holmes beat with a whopping 15.5 inches. Its been looked after, the tables have been ground fairly recently and from what I can tell everything is serviceable. The guy I bought it from had half finished making guards for it. It does have a significant repair to the bottom wheel but hey, nothing is perfect. Yes, fate has been kind to me again. And to think I nearly had a cast iron free Erecta Beckum in the workshop instead
